Comments from Boise
State President Bob Kustra at today’s press conference on the hiring of
Chris Petersen as head football coach:
“The Broncos have scored again. We have named one of the finest football
coaches in the country. We are truly blessed to be in this position to
name Chris Petersen as our football coach. I’m absolutely thrilled for the
opportunity to work with him. No doubt, the dream lives on at Boise State.
To me, that dream means a national ranking … and breaking into the BCS.
“Our student-athletes deserve the best, and they have that in Chris. Coach
Petersen, you and your assistants and your student-athletes can count on
me for your support.”

Hawkins:
“It has been my privilege since arriving at Boise State to work with Dan
Hawkins as our football coach. Dan has been an outstanding ambassador and
role model for Boise State in this transformative era of our history. He
