Ben Davidson, a senior business student at Boise State
University, has won an “Exclusive Experience in Advertising” in Experience
Inc.’s “From Reel to Resume” program. The award is a prestigious internship
in Boston to network with and learn from some of the top professionals in
advertising.
To apply, Davidson created a 15-second advertising spot. His entry, along
with 10 other finalists, was posted online and students nationwide voted for
the winning entry. As the winner, Davidson receives the marketing
internship, which includes an all-expense paid trip to Boston to learn from
some of the top names in advertising such as Arnold and Digitas. He will
also produce an actual commercial for Experience Inc.
“I’ve known I wanted to get into advertising since I was 14, and I feel like
this is my big break,” Davidson said. ”I wouldn’t have been able to make
these connections on my own. Experience is giving me the opportunity to meet
industry veterans, learn new skills and build my resume.”
Jennifer Floren, Experience founder and CEO, said the contest gives student
creative opportunities that expose them to real-life professional
situations. “We’re working with the world’s leading companies and
universities to make these exclusive experiences available to students
nationwide,” she said. “This internship, and even the video application
process, gives students tangible skills to add to their resumes and
portfolios.”
Experience Inc. provides services in support of students and alumni at the
nation’s top universities.
