Boise State Human Resource Office Chosen For Regional
Excellence Award
Boise State University’s Department of Human Resources has been awarded the
Excellence in Human Resource Management Award by the College and University
Personnel Association’s Northwest region. A Boise State representative will
accept the award at the organization’s annual conference in Portland, Ore.,
in March.
Boise State was recognized for accomplishing a number of strategic goals and
programs with limited resources. Significant programs include:
Creation and implementation of a statewide mediation certification program
for state employees.
Ongoing work with the Legislative Interim Committee on State Employee
Compensation.
New and innovative internal programs, such as electronic employment/hiring
forms; faculty phased retirement program; voluntary benefit programs;
required direct deposit of paychecks; computer-based training options;
collaboration on a smoke-free campus initiative; and more.
