What: Boise State Music programs for March

Student recitals: Student recitals, presented by the Boise State
Department of Music, are held in the Morrison Center Recital Hall at 7:30
p.m. and are free.
• March 11 — Tracey Raybourne, guitar.
• March 19 — Yvonne DeCoursey, soprano.
• March 23 — Piano students of Del Parkinson.
Other concerts:
• March 3 — Paris Piano Trio: 8 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall.
Tickets $15-$20 by calling 426-1216. Three of France’s greatest musicians —
Regis Pasquier, violin; Roland Pidoux, cello; and Jean-Claude Pennetier,
piano — are known for their beautifully matched tones. Part of the Boise
Chamber Music Series.
• March 11 — Nicole Molumby Concert: 3 p.m. Morrison Center Recital
Hall. $5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise
State faculty and staff. Boise State flute instructor Molumby performs works
by composers from Russia, France, Latin America and Israel. Also features
James Cook and Jerry Jensen on piano and Mariah Devereaux Herbeck as guest
speaker. Part of the Faculty Artist Series.
• March 12 — Orchestra Concert: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Main Hall.
$5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State
faculty and staff. The Boise State Symphony Orchestra performs Brahm’s
Symphony #2, Debussy’s “Afternoon of a Faun” and Dukas’ “Fanfare from La
Peri.”
• March 14 —Solo Night: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall. $5
general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State
faculty and staff. Come sway to the sounds of the University Singers,
including many solo and duet selections from members of the choir. This
year’s concert will feature settings of American folk songs.
• March 17 — Vox Angelis: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall.
Boise State’s premier Women’s Chorus presents a potpourri of choral music
through the ages, including a set of works by Spanish and Latin American
composers. James Berry conducts.
• March 20 — Guitar Ensemble: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall.
$5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State
faculty and staff. Featuring duos and trios by J.S. Bach, Fernando Sor and
Domenico Scarlatti, and guitar concertos by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and
Joachim Rodrigo.
