Boise State University's Big Band to Play Six Shows in
Southern Idaho
The Boise State University Big Band, under the direction of Brad Peters,
will play six shows in southern Idaho on March 1-2. All of the shows are
free, and a ticket to the annual Gene Harris Jazz Festival in Boise on April
6-9 will be given away at each of the evening performances.
The band will appear on March 1 at 10 a.m. at Jerome High School, 2:30 p.m.
at Blackfoot High School and 7 p.m. at Highland High School in Pocatello (a
joint concert with the Idaho State University Jazz Band). On March 2, the
band will play at 9:30 a.m. at American Falls High School, 1 p.m. at Burley
High School and 7:30 p.m. at the College of Southern Idaho (a joint concert
with students from CSI).
The Boise State Big Band has entertained thousands of people during its
tours of southeastern Idaho and eastern Oregon. The band promotes jazz,
music education, the Gene Harris Jazz Festival and Boise State.
