Students Elect 2006-2007 Associated Students of Boise State
Officials
Boise State last week finalized the election results for the Associated
Students of Boise State election, with candidates Wyatt Parke and Molly
George winning the president and vice president seats, respectively.
Students selected eight college senatorial candidates and eight at-large
senatorial candidates, as well as a new president and vice president. The
college winners are:
• Katie Jo Rupert, Arts and Sciences
• Greg Wilson, Education
• Jeffrey Dart, Applied Technology
• Emmy Guthrie, Engineering
• Bakh Mirkasimov, Business
• Isaac Moffett, Social Sciences and Public Affairs
• Ryan Cooper, Health Sciences
• Mary Dawson, Graduate College
The at-large winners are:
• Craig Howard
• Cyndi Blue
• Amy Ortmann
• Kayla Davis
• Terry Gorseth
• Jonathon Sawmiller
• Trevor Bosch
• Sierra Edgars
In addition, 79.76 percent of the voters also weighed in against the
proposed plus/minus grading system. Voter turnout was 2,237 students, or
13.33 percent. The winners will be sworn in during the ASBSU Hall of Fame
Awards ceremony at 6 p.m. March 22 in the Student Union Jordan Ballroom D.
