Boise State Students Place Fourth in National Conference
Members of Boise State University�s Association of
Information Technology Professionals student chapter placed fourth in a
national competition at the AITP Annual Collegiate Conference held recently
in Dallas, Texas.
The Boise State contingent included Aaron Day, Isaac Barrett, T.J. O�Brien
and Dan Oliver. In various pairings, the four students competed in contests
for Database, PC Troubleshooting and Systems Analysis & Design.
Barrett and Day, current and past presidents, respectively, of the Boise
State AITP Club, placed fourth in the Systems Analysis & Design competition.
Of the 38 teams participating, only teams from Brigham Young University and
Northwestern placed higher than the Boise State winners. About 820 students
attended the conference.
In addition to the competitions, students attended presentations on landing
a job in the IT field and numerous other workshops.
