Hale Named Boise State Executive Director of Student Housing
Jeff Hale, a veteran of more than 25 years in student affairs at the
university level, has been named executive director of student housing at
Boise State University, officials announced today.
For the last 10 years Hale has served as director of residential education
and auxiliary services at Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, Ga.,
where he was responsible for directing the residence life program and
overseeing auxiliary service contracts for food service, vending and the
bookstore.
Over the course of his career, Hale has also worked with residential life
and judicial programs at West Virginia University and the University of
Oklahoma. He has been active in the Association of College and University
Housing Officers at the state, regional and national level.
Hale earned a doctor of education in educational leadership from West
Virginia. He also holds a master of science degree in counseling psychology
from Saint Francis College in Fort Wayne, Ind., and a bachelor of arts from
Summit Christian College in Indiana.
Hale, who will start at Boise State on July 20, replaces Carolyn Harrison,
who served as interim director of student housing during the past academic
year.
