Idaho Small Business Development Center Holds Free Business Conference for Veterans

The Idaho Small Business Development Center will present “Opening Doors for America’s Heroes,” a free veterans business conference, from 6-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.

The conference will be held in the Boise State University Student Union Lookout Room. Free parking is available in the Student Union visitor lot.

Conference topics include:

— Selling to the government and prime contractors. Veterans who would like to become government contractors but don’t know where to start will benefit from this session with experts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit directly with buyers about their product or service and how it may fulfill the buyers’ purchasing needs.

— Financing a small business. This class is designed for those who want to start a small business but don’t know how to obtain financing. The information will be presented in a fast and concise format.

— Marketing a business. Those who already have a business but need to make others aware of it will gain tips and techniques for inexpensive marketing efforts.
