Enjoy a Night of Jazz and
Poetry at Boise State University
The Boise State University Writing Project will host a fun-filled evening for
the whole family from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Student Union Lookout Room. The
event is free and open to the public.
“A Night of Jazz and Poetry” will feature jazz as well as works by Robert Frost,
Emily Dickinson and other poetry legends. In honor of the holiday season, there
will be a dramatic reading of “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” by Dylan Thomas.
The Boise State Writing Project is an offshoot of the National Writing Project,
which has long been regarded as the most influential and successful grassroots
teaching initiative in the country. The Boise State Writing Project brings
together educators in many different disciplines from throughout the state.
During an intensive summer session, they write, discuss teaching methods and
work on best practices and innovative methods.
