Fall Semester
Deadline Approaching for BSU's Community & Regional Planning Certificate Program
Feb. 1 is the deadline to register for fall semester classes in Boise State
University’s Community and Regional Planning Certificate program. The graduate
program is the only one of its kind in Idaho, and is designed to help working
professionals and students understand and respond to community needs in
planning. For more information, visit

Offered through the Department of Public Policy and Administration, the program
focuses on a general understanding of the elements and current practices in
planning, as well as technical skills needed by practicing planners. Course
topics include community and regional planning, intergovernmental relations,
geographic information systems, land development, negotiation theory and
practice and conflict intervention methods.
In addition, four new courses have recently been added to the program. They are:
Transportation Planning, Advanced Traffic Management; Facilitating Groups in
Conflict; and Public Health Disaster Preparedness Planning-Risk Management.
