Boise State Writing Project
Announces Nonfiction, Poetry, and Fiction Workshops for Educators
The Boise State Writing Project will host a series of workshops for educators
that are free and open to the public.
The first, a non-fiction workshop with Jan Kristo, will be from 4:30-6 p.m. Feb.
6 in the Student Union (room to be announced). Kristo is an authority on the
reading and writing of non-fiction, a national leader on early literacy issues
and a professor at the University of Maine. Kristo’s workshop is ideal for all
elementary school teachers, as well as useful and interesting for middle- and
high school teachers.
Upcoming writing workshops include:
• Poetry workshop with Dorianne Laux. 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 9, Student Union
(room to be announced).
• Fiction writing workshop with Tim Hillmer. 3:30-5:30 p.m. May 21, Student
Union (room to be announced).
All workshops are free and open to the public, and parking will be available in
the Visitor Lot behind the Student Union. RSVPs are required for each class;
