News Release
January 26, 2007
February 15 is the
Application Deadline for Scholarship Consideration at Boise State
The deadline is approaching for new and transfer students who wish to apply for
scholarships to Boise State University for the fall 2007 semester. In order to
be automatically considered for Boise State scholarships, students must submit
all admission materials to the Admissions Office no later than Feb. 15.
A completed application package consists of:
• A completed application, available online at
http://admissions.boisestate.edu/applynow/
• A $40 non-refundable, one-time application fee
• Official high school and/or college transcripts (or GED score)
• ACT or SAT scores for applicants under 21 years of age
Students who still need to take the ACT have one more chance before the
deadline. The residual ACT is offered on campus for Boise State admissions use
only. The test is offered Feb. 3 and will be scored in time to meet the
application deadline. To sign up, phone Admissions at (208) 426-1156.
Completed applications will automatically be considered for scholarships at
Boise State if a student has a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. Scholarships are
competitive, and academic credentials will be compared to those of all other
qualified applicants.
The financial aid deadline for current Boise State students is March 15.
Students who apply early have the best chance of being eligible for many limited
types of federal aid. Early applicants also stand a better chance of ensuring
that their funding is available when classes begin in the fall. Apply today at
www.fafsa.ed.gov or call 426-1664.
