Additional Free Tickets for Feb. 25 'Mythbusters' Event to be
Released on Friday at Boise State
An additional 1,000 free tickets for the “MythBusters” event Feb. 25 at the Taco
Bell Arena will be released at 9 a.m. Friday at the Taco Bell Arena box office,
event organizers announced today.
The public can pick up a maximum of four tickets per person. The additional
tickets are being released after corporate donors stepped forward with more
funds for the event after the initial 3,500 tickets were quickly handed out
earlier this month.
“Our corporate partners have shown tremendous generosity and community spirit.
When it became apparent that demand for the free tickets greatly exceeded the
supply, they stepped forward a second time to help,” said Cheryl Schrader, dean
of the College of Engineering at Boise State.
Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, hosts of the Discovery Channel’s “MythBusters”
television series, will appear at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, in the Taco Bell Arena
at Boise State. The multi-media presentation includes a lecture featuring Savage
and Hyneman, a video of “bloopers” from the show, and an opportunity for
audience members to ask questions. No myths will be busted onstage. The event is
free but tickets are required.
Boise State’s College of Engineering is presenting “MythBusters” as part of the
college’s yearlong 10th anniversary celebration and National Engineers Week.
Corporate presenters include the Micron Technology Foundation,
Albertsons/SUPERVALU, Washington Group International, Hewlett-Packard, Idaho
Power Co., Power Engineers and HDR engineering.
