Works by Boise State Art Professor Francis Fox to be Featured at
the Stewart Gallery
Artworks by Boise State University art professor Francis Fox will be featured at
the Stewart Gallery, 2212 W. Main St., Boise, from Feb. 23-March 16. An opening
reception will take place from 1-6 p.m. on Feb 23.
The exhibition, “Interlude,” will include a space devoted to Fox’s works as well
as a group exhibition. Fox’s most recent works are created out of wax, wood and
holograms and deal with image and physicality and the notion of what is virtual
and what is real.
Fox, who teaches sculpture at Boise State, earned both a master of fine arts
degree and a bachelor of fine arts with a minor in geology/geophysics from the
University of Wyoming. He received a Visual arts fellowship from the Wyoming
Arts Council in 1998, and he exhibits works frequently at galleries throughout
the West.
