Registration for Summer Sessions Under Way at Boise State University

Registration for summer program sessions at Boise State University are under way. Students can select from a wide variety of core, upper-division, graduate and Internet-based classes, as well as from a large selection of short workshops.

This year’s workshop topics range from Foreign Aid Policies to Desert Studies, from Shakespeare to Basque tree carving in Idaho.

Students can help fast track their education by enrolling for summer courses or catch courses they were unable to take in the fall and spring. Additional benefits of enrollment in the summer program include no out-of-state fees, no credit limit, reduced per-credit fees and no appointment for registration.

“Most summer classes meet four days a week or less, so students can earn credits and still enjoy long summer weekends,” said Mark Wheeler, dean of Extended Studies at Boise State.

Picking up one or two classes in the summer could save a student thousands of dollars if it helps shorten completion of his or her degree by even a semester.

Classes are available on the Boise campus, as well as the Boise State West campus in Nampa. Students can take a variety of classes at the Nampa campus, allowing them to complete the first two years of their college education there.

For more information and a complete schedule of summer classes, visit www.boisestate.edu/extendedstudies/summer.html. Currently enrolled Boise State students can register for summer classes on BroncoWeb. Others should check their access on BroncoWeb before reapplying for admission.
