Student Programs Board Presents Several Films
The Boise State University Student Programs Board will present several different
films during the remaining weeks of the spring semester. Unless otherwise noted,
all films are free for Boise State students and $1 for the general public.
“We are Marshall” will be shown at 7 and 9 p.m. March 15 in the Special Events
Center. The film is about a tragic plane crash that claims the lives of members
of the Marshall University football team and some of its fans. The team’s new
coach, played by Matthew McConaughey, and his surviving players try to keep the
football program alive. The film is rated PG. Free popcorn and soda will be
provided for moviegoers.
“Night at the Museum” will be shown at 7 and 9 p.m. March 22 and 23 in the
Special Events Center as part of SPB’s family night. The film is free for Boise
State students with ID and their families. In the film starring Ben Stiller, a
newly recruited night security guard at the Museum of Natural History discovers
that an ancient curse causes the animals and exhibits on display to come to life
and wreak havoc. The film is rated PG. Free popcorn and soda will be provided
for moviegoers.
“Disturbia” will be shown at 7 p.m. April 5 in the Special Events Center in a
special advanced screening. The film’s theatrical release date is April 13. This
thriller is about a teen who becomes convinced that his neighbor is a serial
killer. The film is rated PG-13. Free tickets will be available at the Student
Union Info Desk.
