Boise State Student Programs Board Presents 'Hands on the Van,' a
Comedian, Films and 'Unbirthday Party'
Boise State Student Programs Board will present several different events in
April. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
SPB and Pinnacle Security will host “Hands on the Van” at 11 a.m. April 6 at the
Student Union patio. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and is only open to Boise
State students. During “Hands on the Van” students who keep their hands on the
van the longest will win thousands of dollars in prizes. For more information,

SPB will host an “Unbirthday Party” from 2-4 p.m. April 14 in the Student Union
first floor dining area. The event is designed to celebrate birthdays, whether
they are on April 14 or not. Birthday festivities include a birthday cake,
punch, goodies and a showing of “Alice in Wonderland.” For more information,

The film “Stomp the Yard” will be shown at 7 and 9 p.m. April 12 in the Student
Union Hatch A and B Ballroom. Presented as part of SPB Film Series, “Stomp the
Yard” is the story of a young street dancer from Los Angeles who attends a
historically black university in Georgia and uses his fierce street-style dance
moves in the highly coveted national step show competition. This film is rated
PG-13. The film is free for Boise State students with ID and $1 for the general
public. Free popcorn and soda will be served. For more information, contact

Comedian Michael Dean Ester will perform at 7 p.m. April 16 in the Student Union
Special Events Center. Ester speaks at college campuses across the nation, and
he knows all about university life and how to entertain a college crowd. For

The 2007 film “Because I Said So” will be shown at 7 and 9 p.m. April 18 and 19
in the Student Union Special Events Center. Starring Diane Keaton and Mandy
Moore, “Because I Said So” is about a meddling mother who tries to set her
daughter up with the right man. This film is rated PG-13. The film is free for
Boise State students with ID and $1 for the general public. Free popcorn and
