Boise State University Film Festival Combines Creativity, Fun
The annual Boise State University Film and Video Festival, a fundraiser for
Treasure Valley Community Television, will be from 5-8:30 p.m. April 29 in the
Student Union Special Events Center. Tickets are $4 general and $3 with student
ID. Free parking and intermission snacks will be available. The festival is
hosted by a student group, the Dead Eight Film and Video Club.
Raffle tickets will be available at the festival for two trips to the 2008
Sundance Film Festival, including ground transportation from Boise State, five
nights at a shared condo and three movie tickets each. Raffle prizes will be
awarded at the film festival. Other prizes include three producerships to TVCTV,
which will give the winners a chance to develop their own programs.
A festival party sponsored by TVCTV will follow from 8:30 p.m.-12 a.m. at the
Visual Arts Collective, 1419 W. Grove St. Admission is $5 or free with festival
admission stub and includes live music by A Muse’s Willy, Seasonal Disguise and
Inanna’s Temple, as well as beverages and snacks.
The festival includes films in fiction and documentary categories, and junior
high/high school, college/amateur, profession and animation subcategories.
