Boise State Students Win at National Business Professionals
of America Conference
Six Boise State University students in the Selland College of Applied
Technology participated in the Business Professionals of America National
Leadership Conference in New York City May 8-13, and four of them came home
with national awards.
Boise State’s participants are as follows:
— Karen Fitch, Boise, served as an intern and attended the Leadership
Development Workshop
— Kimberly Fuhriman, Caldwell, served as an intern
— Jill Nock, Mountain Home, placed second in Administrative Support Concepts
— Jennifer Lutke, LaGrande, Ore., placed fourth in Financial Math and
Analysis and fifth in Computerized Accounting
— Tara Cooper, Boise, placed fourth in Integrated Office Applications
— Nereida Garcia, Nampa, placed sixth in Integrated Office Applications
The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the
preparation of a world-class work force through the advancement of
leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. Business
technology instructor Darien Hartman serves as adviser to Boise State’s BPA
chapter.
