Info Session for Graduate Public Health Nursing Program to be
Held in Oct. 27
The Department of Nursing at Boise State University will host an information
session on the new graduate nursing program from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct.
27, in the Science Nursing Building on the Boise State campus. If you plan
to attend, please call 426-4143.
The graduate nursing program with a population health emphasis focuses on
health promotion, disease prevention and the health status of groups that
share common characteristics. This emerging specialty enables practice with
populations across geographical boundaries and health-care settings. The
program is extremely flexible, allowing nurses to continue in their current
employment while completing their master’s program part time. Courses with a
NURS designation are taught online.
The program offers two degree options: a master of science (MSN) degree that
requires a thesis and a master of nursing (MN) degree that requires a
professional project. Boise State’s application deadline is March 31, 2008.
