Boise State Radio to Broadcast Philharmonic Performance
BOISE – Boise State Radio is pleased to begin broadcasting the Boise
Philharmonic’s 2007-2008 season on KBSU. Hosted by Jamey Lamar, this 10-part
series will extend though May 2008.
The first broadcast, the Philharmonic’s September performance titled “Romeo
and Juliet,” will be broadcast at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15 and rebroadcast at
3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. The performance features soloist Alpin Hong on
piano and is conducted by guest conductor Leslie Dunner.
Future performances are:
• “The Magic of Folktale” — performance Oct. 19-20, broadcast 9 a.m. Oct. 29
and 3 p.m. Oct. 31
• Encore Afternoon Chamber Series — performance Nov. 4, broadcast 9 a.m.
Nov. 12 and 3 p.m. Nov. 14
• Holiday Encore Show of Past Holiday Performances — broadcast 9 a.m. Dec.
17 and 3 p.m. Dec. 19
• “Fanfare for the Common Man” — performance Nov. 16-17, broadcast 9 a.m.
Jan. 21 and 3 p.m. Jan. 23
• “Dance! Dance! Dance!” — performance Jan. 25-26, broadcast 9 a.m. Feb. 18
and 3 p.m. Feb. 20
• “Power and Grace” — performance Feb. 22-23, broadcast 9 a.m. March 10 and
3 p.m. March 12
• “Triumphant Tchaikovsky” — performance March 14-15, broadcast 9 a.m. April
7 and 3 p.m. April 9
• “Musical Pictures” — performance April 11-12, broadcast 9 a.m April 21 and
3 p.m. April 23
• Encore Afternoon Chamber Series — performance April 27, broadcast 9 a.m.
May 12 and 3 p.m. May 14

For the 10th time in the last 11 years, Boise State University has set an
all-time record for Idaho higher education institutions with an enrollment
of 19,540 – an overall increase of 3.5 percent. A record freshman class of
2,280 students is also the most academically talented group ever to enter
Boise State, including 12 National Merit finalists.
