Boise State Radio to Air Democratic Presidential Candidate
Debate
 |
BOISE – NPR and Iowa Public Radio are teaming up to air a live Democratic
presidential candidate debate on KBSX (91.5 FM) at noon Dec. 4. The debate
will be aired again on KBSU AM (730 AM) at 8 a.m. Dec. 5. The debate is
exclusive to a radio and online audience.
Hosted by Robert Siegel, Michele Norris and Steve Inskeep, the debate is
being held at the State Historical Museum in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, at
the foot of the state Capitol Building. All major Democratic presidential
candidates have confirmed that they will attend.
Breaking away from the question-and-answer structure traditionally presented
by television networks, the NPR/IPR debate will feature three areas of
discussion and an opportunity for candidates to conduct a dialogue with each
other. Listeners are invited to submit their questions for the candidates
through Boise State Radio’s Web site at
http://radio.boisestate.edu.
NPR is working with the Republican presidential candidates to reschedule the
forum originally planned for Dec. 3.
Information on the Boise State Radio network, including KBSU-Arts and
Cultural Programming, Idaho Jazz Station and NPR News 91, is available at
