Boise State Radio to Air Forum on Homeless Issues
BOISE – A forum on issues of homelessness will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at
the First Presbyterian church at 950 W. State St. in Boise. The event is
being held in collaboration with the City Club of Boise. Idaho ranks sixth
worst in the country for the percentage of people who are homeless. More
than half of Idaho’s homeless live in Boise.
Boise State Radio will air this special forum at 9 a.m. Dec. 5 on NPR News
91 and again at noon Dec. 6 on AM 730/1450. This unprecedented panel
discussion will be moderated by Jim Weatherby, an emeritus professor of
public policy at Boise State University.

Boise State University professor Heidi Reeder has been named the 2007
Idaho Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement
of Teaching. She is an associate professor in the Department of
Communication. Reeder’s honor marks the 11th time that a Boise State
professor has earned this award, and the seventh time in the last decade.
