A Vision For The Future
Planning is essential to the success of any enterprise, but especially so for a university that serves one of the fastest growing metropolitan economies and population centers in the country. Thus, during the time period covered in this report, Boise State revised its six-year-old strategic plan and prepared a thorough self-study in preparation for a reaccreditation visit by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.
In both of these efforts, the university took an in-depth look at its strengths, challenges and opportunities for the future. The result was two documents the Institutional Self Study, produced for the October 1999 accreditation visit and Meeting the Challenge: A Strategic Plan for Boise State University 2000-2005, released in September 2000.
