Accreditation Report

Boise State has a quality about it that is reflective of the dynamic nature of the Boise region, which both mirrors and helps to define the high-energy growth of the university.
From Accreditation Report, Northwest
Association of Schools and Colleges

In renewing Boise States accredited status, the 14-member evaluation team gave the university high marks for its institutionwide commitment to and engagement with the southwestern Idaho region. The team commended the university for improvements to the Albertsons Library, the accreditation of engineering programs and the development of a new doctorate degree in geophysics.

The team also acknowledged the university for the quality of its strategic planning process and for the students willingness to help fund recreational and parking facilities, athletic programs and computer laboratories.

The team also provided guidance for future improvements, advising Boise State to give special attention to outcome assessment, academic advising and student services. It recommended that the university develop additional programs to evaluate and assist adjunct faculty and enhance support for graduate programs and research.

This was the first time the accreditation review included Boise States doctoral programs. The team was guided by a lengthy self-study compiled by the university over a two-year period prior to the accreditation visit.
