Albertsons Library Archives Receive Pete Cenarrusa Papers

A reception in the Albertsons Library on Thursday afternoon honored former Idaho Secretary of State Pete Cenarrusa, who gifted his extensive papers to the university. An exhibit on Cenarrusa will be available for viewing through the holidays in the Special Collections window display cases on the second floor of the Albertsons Library.

Henry Charlier and Don Warner, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, coauthored a paper with former students Andrew Slupe and Choice Luster that was recently published in the journal Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry.
Music professors Marcellus Brown and Jim Jirak are leading the 300-member community choir and orchestra for this year’s Hymns of Thanksgiving at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in the Qwest Arena.The free performance also includes a piano solo by music professor Del Parkinson.
Keith Anderson, educational specialist with Educational Talent Search/Upward Bound and a former Bronco football player, will present “A Nat King Cole Christmas Concert and Dance” as a benefit for Mountain View Community Fellowship Church.
Greg Hampikian, Department of Biological Sciences, was interviewed for a news segment on KBCI Channel 2 regarding the “CSI Effect,” named after the popular CBS crime show.
