Kim Leeder, librarian and assistant professor for Albertsons Library, has been named a 2011 Mover & Shaker by Library Journal. For 10 years, the award has recognized 50 librarians each year from across the library world and several nations who are doing extraordinary work.
Honorees are recognized in one of several categories: innovators, community builders, tech leaders, marketers, advocates and change agents. Leeder was recognized as a community builder.
Leeder chairs the Association of College and Research Libraries University Libraries Section, is a member of the American Library Association’s Young Librarians Task Force, works on grant-funded video tutorials and co-manages Albertsons Library’s Facebook presence. She also is cofounder of the In the Library with the Lead Pipe blog.
