The Blackboard learning management system at Boise State was upgraded to release 9.1 this summer. Past email announcements and Update articles let you know about some of the new features in release 9.1, which also are listed on the “Blackboard 9.1 Tutorial” site. You can access this site by logging into Blackboard or by visiting the Blackboard Support web page.
The most recent additions are the latest Blackboard service pack and a couple of Blackboard plug-ins. In addition to fixing some previously reported bugs, these additions provide the following new features:
- The ability to force tests and quizzes with time limits to submit when time expires
- Interactive rubrics
- The ability to create a test student account for yourself
- A tool to assist with copying and pasting content from Microsoft Word with some of the formatting problems that have plagued this in the past.
These new features also are discussed on the “Blackboard 9.1 Tutorial” site and on the Blackboard Support web page. In addition, workshops and webinars discussing the latest new features in Blackboard 9.1 are available.
