				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To assist departments in continuing to improve workplace safety and reduce employee injuries at work, Boise State Risk Management and Insurance is offering Worker&#8217;s Compensation Safety Training sessions, conducted by the Idaho State Insurance Fund, Division of Risk Management.</p>
<p>There are two four-hour training sessions available for new supervisors/managers (attend one only). This is required for newly hired or promoted supervisors and managers or those who have not previously attended this training. Session topics will include an overview of Worker&#8217;s Compensation, how to conduct loss prevention activities, identification and control of hazards in the workplace, accident investigation, documentation and reporting, keeping appropriate records and suggestions for employee safety training.</p>
<p>Sessions will be held from 8 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Student Union Hatch A Ballroom and from 8 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Student Union Bishop Barnwell Room.</p>
<p>Online registration is available through the <a href="http://hrs.boisestate.edu/workshops/supervision-and-leadership/">HRS Learning and Development website</a>. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To assist departments in continuing to improve workplace safety and reduce employee injuries at work, Boise State Risk Management &amp; Insurance is offering workers’ compensation safety training sessions conducted by the Idaho State Insurance Fund, Division of Risk Management. Training consists of one four-hour session for new supervisors and managers and a choice of two shorter review sessions (attend one only) for previous attendees. Sessions are summarized and scheduled as follows:</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>(New) Supervisor/Manager Training Session — Four-Hour Session</strong></span></p>
<p>This session is required for newly hired or promoted supervisors and managers or those who have not previously attended this training. Session topics will include an overview of workers’ compensation, how to conduct loss prevention activities, identification and control of hazards in the workplace, accident investigation, documentation and reporting, keeping appropriate records, and suggestions for employee safety training.</p>
<p><strong>When</strong>: 8 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Feb. 21<br />
<strong>Where</strong>: Student Union Farnsworth Room<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>(Refresher) Supervisor/Manager Training Sessions — Attend One Session Only </strong></span></p>
<p><strong> </strong>Intended as a review for supervisors and managers who have attended previous training sessions, this shortened refresher session will focus more specifically on the Boise State workforce, environment, loss/claims performance and “best practice” sharing Q&amp;A discussion.<br />
<strong>When</strong>: 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23<br />
