University Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) strives to assist departments in reducing work related accidents and minimizing the impact of such accidents to the employee and work unit.
In addition to managing university-wide policies such as fire, property and auto, RMI manages optional policies that certain departments may find useful, such as: inland marine and special property, (insurance that covers certain types of equipment, exhibits, art and other collections that may not be normally included in standard policies), foreign travel, student trips and activities, volunteer events, risk mitigation for externally produced events on campus, and many other services.
RMI is happy to meet with individual departments and examine and discuss policies and programs that may help departments reduce losses or risk exposure. More information can be found at the RMI Web site.
