The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host a gathering to honor the memory of Jeffrey M. Peloquin. The event is at 1:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, in Room 112 of the Education Building. Peloquin died suddenly on Aug. 19.
Peloquin joined the Boise State family in 2003 as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and this past year was awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor. He also was serving his first term as president of the Faculty Senate.
He was the driving force behind the creation and development of the Snake River Chapter of the American Chemical Society, serving as its founding chair, and brought the Northwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society to Boise for the first time in its history in 2007.
The campus community is invited to join in the tribute, led by Henry Charlier, which will include an opportunity to share stories and memorable moments.
