Flu Shot Clinics Scheduled

By: Kathleen Tuck   Published 9:21 am / September 8, 2009

Flu shot clinics have been scheduled for all interested students, faculty and staff. This vaccine is for the seasonal flu and will not provide protection from the H1N1 virus. Watch for additional information about when the vaccine for H1N1 will be available.
When: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 16; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 23, 30 and Oct. 7, 14
Where: Health & Wellness Center Conference Room, 2103 University Dr.
Cost: $25 for students; $30 for faculty/staff (campus ID required). Students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) will not be charged this fee; SHIP will be billed. Other insurance plans may cover student vaccines.

Walk-in students will be accepted only during the clinics times listed above. Students may call ext. 6-1459 for an appointment to receive the vaccine at other times. Departments and organizations that wish to receive the vaccine as a group are asked to call Mary Kenworthy at ext. 6-1490 to schedule a time, to ensure that adequate staff is available to administer the vaccines. Departments that purchase vaccines for staff members should forward a roster to Kenworthy at, or by fax at ext. 6-3005 by 5 p.m. Sep. 14.

The flu clinic is offered as a community service from Health, Wellness and Counseling Services. The Health & Wellness Center is limited to providing insurance and billing services for currently enrolled students and is no longer able to provide receipts to faculty and staff for the flu clinic. If you wish to have the flu shot covered by your insurance, please see a private physician.
