Women’s Center Calls for Art Auction Submissions to Benefit MSTI

The Boise State Women’s Center is calling for submissions for the sixth annual Bra Project art auction. This year’s fundraiser will benefit St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) to provide mammograms for low-income women in the community.

Bras may be made of any material and may be wearable or not. All submissions are donations to the auction and are due by Friday, Oct. 9. Submitted bras will be on display in the Art Source Gallery, 1015 Main St. in downtown Boise, a week before the auction, which will be held Oct. 23 at the gallery. Contributing artists will receive free admission to the event.

Artists from all walks of life contribute to the Bra Project and all artistic representations of bras are accepted. Local artists have shown great creativity when asked to use the bra motif to raise money to fight breast cancer.
