A workshop on workers’ compensation is available for new supervisors or managers at Boise State. The free course is from 8 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Student Union Hatch C/D Ballroom.
The training will assist departments in continuing to improve workplace safety and reducing workplace injuries. It is offered by Risk Management & Insurance and is conducted by the Idaho State Insurance Fund, Division of Risk Management.
New supervisors and managers are encouraged to attend as they are required to be aware of the details of the workers’ compensation program.
What will it cover?
Session topics include an overview of workers’ compensation, how to conduct loss prevention activities, identifying and controlling hazards in the workplace, accident investigation, documentation, the reporting process and occupational medical provider information.
