Cody Jorgensen, faculty advisor for Lambda Alpha Epsilon (LAE) – a student organization for those interested in a career in the criminal justice system – recently took students to a regional conference in Ontario, California, where they participated in several competitions.

At the competitions, Boise State students took home 10 awards:

• Caterina Moritz-Gutierrez, 3rd place Upper Division Corrections
• Timothy Alvarez, 2nd place Upper Division Criminal Law
• Tori Thibault, 2nd place Upper Division Individual Firearms and
2nd place Females 25 & Under Physical Agility
• Matthew Thompson, 1st place Professional Division Criminal Law,
2nd place Professional Division Police Management and
2nd place Professional Division Individual Firearms
• Timothy Alvarez & Matthew Thompson, 1st place Professional Division Crime Scene Investigation
• Ashlynn Higbee, Tori Thibault and Caterina Moritz-Gutierrez, 1st place Upper Division Crime Scene Investigation
• Ashlynn Higbee, Tori Thibault and Matthew Thompson, 2nd place Firearms Team

The LAE team will next attend a national conference in Austin, Texas, in March 2017.
