Emily Wakild presented research at the annual American Historical Association conference Jan. 4-7 in Denver. Wakild presented a paper from her research on South American conservation, titled “Vicuña Territory: Wildlife Management and State Conservation in Late 20th Century Peru.” She also chaired and facilitated a round-table discussion titled “Fluidity and Contradictions in Mexican Discourse: Land, Indigenous Rights and Environmental Justice.”
