René Delaney’s Retirement Reception is March 1

Portrait of René DelaneyThe university community is invited to a reception in honor of René Delaney, who is retiring. The reception is at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the Student Recreation Center.

A Boise State employee for more than 28 years, Delaney was the switchboard operator before the creation of Telephone Services. She also worked in the Vice President for Student Affairs office, and currently is the administrative assistant in Campus Recreation.

Delaney volunteered for many years with the Association of Classified Employees as president-elect, president, past president and representative. She also was chair of the Higher Education Council of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals.

Over the years, she collected more than 200 in-service hours through Boise State training programs, BSUAOP professional development and state and national conference service hours. Outside of the university, she has been secretary of the Idaho Genealogy Society and a volunteer den leader for Boy Scouts of America.
