Graduate College Celebrates Research with Two April Events

The Graduate College is excited to host two events during the month of April celebrating student scholarship at Boise State University. Applications for both programs are due on Wednesday, March 1. For questions, contact Katie Stone at or call (208) 426-4723.

Graduate Student Showcase

Three students chatting.Graduate students in all academic areas, including students in fully online programs, are invited to participate in the Graduate Student Showcase. The showcase is a one-day graduate conference from 9 a.m.-noon on Monday, April 3, in the Student Union Simplot Ballroom. It provides an opportunity for graduate students to showcase their talents, connect with other graduate students, gain conference experience, and enjoy the possibility of winning a cash award.

Three Minute Thesis

3 Minute Thesis: Articulate, Innovate, InspireThe Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition was developed by the University of Queensland and celebrates the exciting research conducted by graduate students. Participants have just three minutes and one slide to present compelling oration on their thesis or dissertation topic and its significance.

Boise State University’s 3MT competition will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, April 11, in the Alumni and Friends Center Ballroom. Cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place and Viewer’s Choice.
