Recruiting Adults 50+ for Free Strength, Balance Class

The Department of Kinesiology is recruiting adults over the age of 50 and individuals who have functional limitations for a free eight-week strength, function and balance class. The goal of this class is to improve participants’ physical function and is designed for those who might be out of the habit of exercising, those who are dealing with chronic conditions or those who simply would like more physical direction delivered in a fun, engaging environment. This class is not designed for highly fit individuals.

The classes will be held from 5:10-6:10 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Bronco Gym, Room 215, from March 1-April 27. Participants will be led by kinesiology majors who are enrolled in a physical activity and aging class. Participants also will receive an individualized home exercise program.
