Memo Cordova and Amber Sherman published an article about open access in Boise State’s The Blue Review. Titled “The Undue Cost of Academic Publishing,” the article addresses the costs associated with paywall journal subscriptions and lack of access to scholarly articles once students graduate. Librarians at Albertsons Library see open access as a viable solution that addresses these and other issues associated with current publishing models and have adopted a statement of support for open access.
