Campus Summer Bluegrass Jams Resume in May

By: Cienna Madrid   Published 3:28 pm / April 10, 2017

A casual group of Boise State bluegrass lovers are resuming their summer tradition of jamming out from noon-1 p.m. on Fridays, and they’re inviting all 4,5,6 and 8 string pickers of all levels to join them. The jam sessions will take place May 5-Aug. 4 at Veterans Upward Bound (1136 Euclid Ave.). This unofficial group of jammers began meeting on campus in 2014.

For those interested in participating, here’s a chord chart for popular bluegrass tunes. The group also recommends having a handy copy of the Parking Lot Pickers Handbook specific to your instrument for optimal jamming.
