Kerri Webster’s third book of poems, “The Trailhead,” is forthcoming from Wesleyan University Press in spring 2018. Poet and adjunct instructor of creative writing at Boise State, Webster received a $50,000 Whiting Award in 2011 for her first book, We Do Not Eat Our Hearts Alone (University of Georgia Press). Her second award-winning collection, “Grand and Arsenal,” in 2012 earned the Iowa Poetry Prize (University of Iowa Press).

She has twice received an Idaho Commission on the Arts Fellowship in Literature. Her poems also have appeared in numerous journals including Poetry, The Boston Review, and Indiana Review.

Webster is an alumna of Boise State, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in literature in 1994 followed by an MFA from Indiana University. She was a writer in residence at Washington University in St. Louis.
