The event, Careers for Change, will be hosted by Global Talent Idaho, part of the Idaho Office for Refugees.

Al Naserawi worked as a professor of mechanical engineering at Baghdad University for 12 years when her family began to receive threats, prompting her and her family to resettle here in Boise in 2015. Once arriving in Boise she began to work with Global Talent Idaho to navigate the U.S. job market. She’s been with Boise State for nearly two years and will speak at the celebration May 16.

You can read more about Al Naserawi and purchase tickets to the event on the Global Talent Idaho website.
