The Idaho Small Business Development Center, housed within the College of Business and Economics, is teaming up with Facebook and Zions Bank to present a Boost Your Business with Facebook event.
From 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 24, the event will provide businesses with the most up-to-date tools, insights and best practices for growing business on Facebook and Instagram. Sen. Jim Risch, co-chair of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, will be a special guest.
In an increasingly digital world, it is important for small businesses to understand and fully leverage the possibilities of social media to find and engage customers. Facebook can allow greater exposure to customers, especially for rural businesses who need to rely on more than foot traffic in their brick and mortar business and the ever increasing percentage of customers who prefer e-commerce to shopping in person.
The event also includes the opportunity to learn from local entrepreneurs sharing their stories and lessons learned plus a panel highlighting resources available to business for continued assistance after the event.
The event will be held on the 17th floor of Zion’s Bank building at 800 W. Main St., Boise. There is no cost to attend but you must register. Lunch is included. Go to boostboise.splashthat.com for the complete agenda.
