The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic will take place Aug. 30-Sept. 3 in Ann Morrison Park, and Boise State University is prepared to lend a hand with the celebration.
It is not anticipated balloons will be landing on campus. However, should they happen to land at Boise State, staff and faculty are encouraged to assist in packing up the balloon, carrying the balloon or providing access to a restroom, if needed.
If landings on campus are necessary, pilots have been advised to land in very clear, open areas of grass with few or no people nearby. Additionally, it has been requested that no vehicles enter grass areas; they must stay in designated driving lanes, roadways or parking lots.
Boise State Public Safety is aware of the event and ready to assist if needed. Public Safety can be reached at (208) 426-6911 for any assistance or coordination with Facilities Operations and Maintenance, and Landscape Services.
