Active Learning Week Through Nov. 3

By: Brady W Moore   Published 8:48 am / September 13, 2017

The Center for Teaching and Learning presents Active Learning Week from Oct. 30-Nov. 3.

In order to demonstrate Boise State’s commitment to quality undergraduate education, all faculty are invited to join in a celebration of active learning pedagogies by incorporating at least 10 minutes of active learning into their courses during the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 3, or by attending one of the teaching visits scheduled for that week.

The event builds on  participation in last year’s National Active Learning Day. In fall 2016, more than 105 faculty at Boise State made a commitment to incorporate active learning into their courses. This year, the celebration will have three components.

  1. Commitments to use active learning during the week
  2. Opportunities to visit a colleague’s classroom through the teaching visits program
  3. An end of the week party and reception
