The Intensive English Program (IEP) in the Center for Global Education is pleased to host two faculty members and 17 undergraduate students from Hosei University in Japan. This marks the seventh year that the IEP has hosted the group and coordinated the program, which integrates intensive English study with community-based sports science workshops and local cultural activities. This year’s cohort arrived Aug. 25 and completed the two-week program on Sept. 8.

In addition to the IEP staff, several Boise State faculty and students are participating in this year’s program, including Dave Hammons from the Department of Kinesiology; Shoko Asay and Tetsuya Ehara from the Department of World Languages; Jared Cox and Jordan Frank from the Recreation Center; and students from the Japan Club. Additionally, several community members are extending a warm welcome to the guests, including representatives from the YMCA, Capitol High Football, and Boise River Sports.
