Professor of Art Francis Fox’s newest exhibition, “Scapes: Internal and External,” presents some strange perspectives on internal and external landscapes while exploring relationships between digital and traditional materials. An opening reception will be held from 5:30 p.m.-midnight Friday, Oct. 6, at the Visual Arts Collective, 3638 Osage St. in Garden City.

Fox is currently a professor of art in sculpture at Boise State. He received his MFA degree from the University of Wyoming in 1997 and a minor in geology/geophysics in 1985.

Beyond his formal education, Fox gained sculpture skills and professional experience by working in several art-related fields, including five years at Shidoni Art Foundry near Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2011-2012, Fox was awarded an Arts and Humanities Fellowship to research 3D-digital technologies.
