The Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) is a global business network of 12,000-plus leading entrepreneurs in 167 chapters and 52 countries. It is a network of small to large business owners who are ready to share their experiences and best practices. The organization offers the connections, tools and resources needed to reach the next level in a member’s entrepreneurial journey.

The Idaho Chapter, centered in Boise, is a group of 30-plus businesses with median annual sales of $2.25 million and over 700 employees representing these industries, among others: advertising/publication, architecture/design, arts, entertainment/recreation, computer/consulting, computer/software, construction services, distribution, education/training, electronic services, financial services, food/beverage, franchise services, furniture, health/medical services, human resources/personnel, manufacturing, media services, and multimedia/internet/online services.

According to EO spokesperson Allen Traylor, “The entire chapter is overwhelmingly in support of this program. We are particularly excited about connecting with students in ways that help them achieve their post-graduation goals.”

Anticipated activities include a “Shark Tank” pitch competition with cash prizes, mentoring programs, open forums, EO Talks and networking events hosted as the Venture College as well as other activities that connect students with successful business owners.

“This exciting partnership is another example of the significant enthusiasm and generosity that exists in Boise for our students,” said Mike Sumpter, director of Boise State University’s Venture College in the College of Innovation and Design. “We are eager to collaborate with the EO membership in helping to create great pathways for our students beyond graduation.”
